2026 Lasallian Induction CPD Concludes in Malta

The 2026 Lasallian Induction CPD (Tier 1) concluded on 26 August with the completion of its second cohort at the La Salle Retreat Centre in Mellieha, Malta. The programme ran twice this year, from 22 to 29 July and from 19 to 26 August.

Held annually in Malta since 2012, the Induction CPD is the entry point into the District's tiered formation programme. It is open to all staff in Lasallian schools and centres, from school leadership to newly qualified teachers, chaplains and pastoral centre workers, and is intended particularly for those relatively new to the Lasallian mission.

The beauty of this programme in Malta lies within the community formed throughout the week, the connections made with colleagues from throughout the District and beyond and how strong bonds are made in such a short time. Making space to explore the Founding story, Spirituality, Community, Leadership and so much more allows for the Lasallian Ethos and Identity, within schools and Centres, to remain alive and relevant in today’s changing world.

Participants from the July cohort shared reflections on their week in Malta, including conversations with colleagues from Jerusalem and the closing activity in which each person stood in turn and said, “I am Lasallian.” Read more here.

Participants who wish to continue can progress to the Kintbury CPD (Tier 2), held on Palm Sunday weekend across three consecutive years at Kintbury Pastoral Centre in Great Britain. Details relating to registration for the 2027 programmes will be released in November.
