Confirmation retreats popular at Dublin centre

Recent weeks have seen a surge in Confirmation retreats coming to the De La Salle Retreat Centre Dublin.

The tailored Confirmation retreat is always a fun retreat but incorporating the profound and affirming experience of receiving the Holy Spirit. We have received very warm feedback from the principals.

We have also been running an increased number of retreats for students making the transition from primary to secondary school and what that change entails. All children come full of faith, enthusiasm and engagement and as a retreat team we really feel we receive more than what we give.

Already we have led our first pilgrimage of the summer in Glendalough with several more to follow next month.

We have also worked with several schools whose pupils live in socially-deprived areas and we have gained a real insight in a vast array of new needs to which we are constantly learning new ways to meet them.

One of our team, Yvonne Joye. enormously enjoyed the CPD programme at Kintbury at the end of March and meeting up with familiar and new faces alike. The retreat was run wonderfully by all at Kintbury and other than a rogue heavy shower, the sun shone all weekend in that beautiful place.
