St Margaret Ward demonstrate faith and commitment

Pupils from St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy proudly took part in Mass on Thursday 10th July, marking the start of the Eucharistic Congress across North Staffs Deanery.

They demonstrated their faith and commitment through active roles in the celebration. Several pupils served at the altar with reverence, while others assisted in the offertory collection, showing great responsibility. A highlight was our pupils leading the banner procession with pride, representing our school community with dignity and devotion. Their involvement reflected the Lasallian values of service, faith and community.

The following day, schools across the Deanery engaged in the Eucharistic Congress through Mass and various sessions created to help them explore and deepen their faith. These ranged from input, prayer and practical activities.

Using the Parable of the Lost Sheep as their inspiration, pupils wrote anonymous messages of support to those in our wider community who may be left out or feel that they don't belong. All the paperchains from each class will be put together to make a big paperchain to go in the assembly hall for September. So many pupils have mentioned what a lovely morning they had with their teachers and fellow students and how nice it was to do something different to explore their faith.
