It has been a very busy time at De La Salle College Malta with students taking part in many activities including the Bee Hotel, VET IT, Prince’s Trust, Movember and Prize Day.

The members of the 1719 Society in De La Salle School St Helens, are doing their bit to support a local homeless charity this Christmas.

One of the District’s most committed Lasallians, Patricia O’Leary, was honoured recently for her contribution as teacher and principal following her retirement from De La Salle Dundalk.

The District Lasallian School Leaders Conference for GB Heads and Chairs of Governors was held in St Cassian’s, Kintbury, on November 12th and 13th and proved to be a very informative and positive event.

Students at De La Salle College, Malta, have been very busy over the past few weeks with an enthusiastic response to activities such as, The Prince’s Trust International, Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness, and Be Funky.

While attending the Brothers' Retreat, Br. George Whyte from the St John's Community in Ballyfermot, came across a message that he wanted to share.

After a long absence due to the Covid restriction, September 1st saw Glanaulin Pastoral Centre return to full face-to-face operation with boys from St Mary’s Christian Brothers Grammar School among the first visitors. 

The La Salle Retreat Centre, Mellieha, is delighted that the lifting of restrictions following the strict measures of the pandemic means that they can now host over-night retreats once again.

This month, the 7-2 class at St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy has engaged splendidly in this year’s peace month by completing various tasks and gestures related to the topic.

It continues to be a very busy time for the staff and students at St Patrick’s Grammar School, Downpatrick, with many activities taking place for the past few weeks including tackling climate issues, sport and a project at the heart of the Lasallian Ethos.

Br. Oscar Mifsud, has shared an article describing his personal ways of trying to bring Brothers together and create a sense of community through a particular project, in his case the building of a boat.

Students at St John’s College Southsea illustrated their star quality with a brilliant House Dance Competition and also with over 100 being honoured in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

The District is mourning the loss of Br. Martin Kearns who passed away suddenly on October 22nd. Many tributes were paid to the very popular member of the Belfast Glanaulin Community

Students at De La Salle College Jersey have built on an initiative that proved successful during lockdown as they recently launched the weekly 'GODCAST'.

St Geralds De La Salle College, Castlebar, have been very active on a number of fronts in recent weeks with a number of events taking place. 

We thank those who were able to join in the first District gathering to discuss A Conversation for the Lasallian Family on Wednesday 10, November. It was a wonderful experience of Lasallian Association and Community.

The PE Department at St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy are continuing to strengthen their links with De La Salle Stantiago Zobel School in Manila.

Br. John Deeney from the Oxford Community has been in creative mode of late by using a modern approach to tell the story of De La Salle in a way that will surely appeal to young people.
