On Wednesday May 11th, De La Salle College Macroom celebrated Founder’s Day.

The representatives at the 46th General Chapter from the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta have reflected on a very rewarding gathering thus far.

The contribution of De La Salle College, Waterford, to the education of the country has been recognised with the awarding of two renowned historical Blue Plaques from Waterford Civic Trust.

We are pleased to announce that the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta is launching a new official logo.

With plans in place regarding District celebrations for Founder’s Week, information and resources have been made available.

As part of the activities of the 46th General Chapter, next Thursday, May 5th, will see the broadcast of the signing of the commitment to the Global Compact on Education by Brother Superior General, on behalf of the Lasallian Family.

De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Castletown, continues to be very busy with Confirmation retreats, while this month also saw a very touching gesture that illustrated Community Life in action.

The Lasallian Family across the District is putting the finishing touches to preparations for Founder’s Week with the official celebration taking place on Friday May 13th.

The De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Belfast, has been offering retreats for the past 20 years facilitating over 2000 young people each year. We are now in the happy position to offer Art Psychotherapy to individuals and small groups.

St Gerald’s College in Castlebar launched a very exciting initiative in the school with the opening of their new Sensory Room, while students have been very busy of late with many activities.

Over the years, Castletown organised a Cemetery Day especially for the family members of our departed Brothers. The event was postponed due to Covid but this year it will be held on Saturday July 9th.

Wellbeing Week 2022 in De La Salle College Churchtown took place from March 25th to April 1st this year, with the various events as follows:

On Tuesday April 12th a local group Suicide down to Zero came into Downpatrick High School to have a series of workshops with Year 11.

De La Salle College Churchtown have illustrated once again how the Core Principles are very much at the heart of all they do, with a number of recent initiatives highlighting the Lasallian values at work.

The La Salle Retreat Centre, Mellieha, continues to welcome many events, with recent visitors including Jesuit Fathers, Salesian Priests, the Diocesesan Children Commission and couples from Attard Parish.
