On Friday July, 1st, De La Salle School St Helens, dedicated a day to celebrate our Founder, St John Baptist De la Salle, and the work he has done.

On Monday July 4th, 2022 the Senior Leadership Teams  of all six Lasallian schools in Malta within De La Salle College and Stella Maris College met for an end of scholastic year leadership seminar at the Mellieha Pastoral Centre.

RELEM (Lasallian Region of Europe and the Mediterranean) has launched a 12-month pilot Formation of Formators programme. The first in-person phase was hosted by the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta and ran from Monday 27th June to Friday 1st July at the Lasallian Pastoral Centre in Mellieha.

Students from De La Salle School, Basildon, took part in the Lasallian camp at St. Cassian’s retreat centre in the Berkshire countryside from July 8th to 10th

On Saturday July 9th former students of De La Salle College met up for a reunion barbecue in the college grounds.

An inspirational story of one Lasallian’s journey against the odds to qualify as a teacher has highlighted that the spirit of our Founder is very much alive. The remarkable journey of Kuay Gattot Jany, has been shared by Br. Dennis Lee.

A special presentation was made to Cheryl Ward in recognition of her wonderful contribution to the De La Salle Brothers as manager of the Clayton Court Community for 25 years.

Br. Tommy Walsh has revealed that he is humbled and honoured to accept the position of Auxiliary Visitor of the District of Ireland, Great Britain & Malta.

Brother Visitor, Ben Hanlon, has written to the Lasallian Family to convene the Second District Lasallian Educational Mission (MEL) Assembly for Ireland, Great Britain and Malta.

It has been a very busy end to the year at De La Salle College Beneavin, with students and staff undertaking many activities that reflect their strong Lasallian values.

De La Salle High School Downpatrick enjoyed success on the sporting front when they competed in the Br Sharkey Cup recently.

As part of the Founder’s Day celebration, staff at Stella Maris College in Malta enjoyed a social activity.

The end of term at De La Salle College Waterford witnessed a number of significant events.

The Lasallian Values continue to be lived out on a daily basis in Beneavin De La Salle College with recent activities including Culture Awareness and Anti-Racism Week, Pay it Forward Day, Student Enterprise and a hike for suicide awareness, while they also picked up a Global Citizenship award.

Students at De La Salle College Senior School in Malta promoted the Lasallian Ethos through a number of activities over recent weeks, including the Prince’s Trust, cooking, painting and volunteering.

Students from Lasallian schools in Malta have been enjoying time spent at the De La Salle Retreat Centre, Mellieha, over recent weeks.

Year nine students from De La Salle St Helens competed against other schools in the 2022 Mock Magistrates Competition, which was run by the Magistrates Association and HM Courts and Tribunals Service. 

Students from St Margaret Ward went on retreat to Castlerigg Manor, In the Lake District.
