St. Benildus College celebrated our annual Lasallian Week from Monday 5th December to Friday 9th. The week recognises and celebrates the life and work of St. John Baptist de La Salle and across the week students and staff celebrate and emphasise the five Core Lasallian principles in our daily school life.
District mourns the passing of Br. Tim McLaughlin
The District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta, along with the global Lasallian Family is mourning the loss of Br. Tim McLaughlin, of the Miguel House Community in Castletown, who passed away on Wednesday January 11th.
Tribute to the late Br. Terry Kay
We are sad to report that on January 4th, 2023, Brother Terry Kay died following an illness over Christmas. He’d lived at St Cassian’s Pastoral Centre, Kintbury, since 2014 and had previously lived in the community as Vocations Director from 1992-1995.
Lasallian Values thriving in Castlebar
The Lasallian Values were evident in Castlebar Primary School as students visited and donated to the local social services, while they also celebrated Christmas by taking part in Christmas plays.

‘Quality Education’ is one of the five core Lasallian principles. This is in direct symphony with our educators’ enthusiasm to learn about new ways of dealing with day-to-day situations in a school day and achieve better results through their teaching and learning.
