It has been a busy time for the team at the De La Salle Retreat Centre Dublin over the past couple of months and they are continuing to thrive at the start of the new year.

The Community in Castletown continued its busy schedule over the summer months with many visitors enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent facilities.

On Thursday September 14th, two Year 6 classes from two local Church Schools, De La Salle College and Our Lady Immaculate School, met together at San Anton Palace in Attard. On this occassion, students celebrated their success at the end of an eTwinning project entitled “Mill-Pinna Tiegħi”

A new Student Animator Group has been formed in De La Salle High School Downpatrick and have already started work on a number of projects under the guidance of Mr Tony Keeley

On Thursday September 14th Mrs Miriam Vella attended the launch of “Mill-Pinna Tiegħi”, a project implemented by the De La Salle College Malta and Our Lady Immaculate School in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

The Lasallian month of Peace begins on September 21st , which is the International day for Peace and culminates on the 21st October which is widely known as the Lasallian day for Peace.

Staff and students at St Benild ended the school year on a high with a number of events such as the First Holy Communion celebration, Family Fest and Induction Day reflecting the passion and enthusiasm of the school.

On Thursday July 20th, the Kintbury Team, past and present members of the Management Committee, the Brothers from Oxford and friends of the Centre gathered for a final time to celebrate all the work of the Team and Centre this year. 

The end of year at Stella Maris brought many reasons to celebrate including the Graduation for Grade 6 students and a ceremony to honour Ms Patricia Azzopardi Preziosi on her retirement.

Staff and students at St Margaret Ward celebrated their diverse and inclusive community on the 12th July. Members of the school community were invited to wear clothing representing their cultural background.

The Lasallian Camp took place in St Cassian’s, Kintbury, from July 7-9 and once again it proved to be a wonderful experience. To get a flavour of the Lasallian Camp experience, listen to this review from students from De La Salle School St Helens. 

De La Salle College Jersey has made it’s Lasallian ‘mark’ in the local community recently through its Art exhibition of images and sculptures, held in the local Arts Centre.

Over the past few weeks, Castletown has been a hive of activity with the Community welcoming visitors, hosting a retreat and District Chapter, while enjoying social activities.

On Monday July 3rd, La Salle Malta Senior Leaderships team met for an end of year seminar at our Pastoral Centre in Mellieha.
