De La Salle Dundalk have set up an exciting new student leadership team in the College. Lasallian Student Leaders are students who are entrusted with specific leadership responsibilities within the school. 

On the last day before Half-term, the Student Animator Group presented all the staff of De La Salle HS Downpatrick with a “Thank You” Card. The Group wanted to let all the staff know how much their work is appreciated by all the students.

A number of Lasallian teachers in Malta have taken part in in induction course to strengthen their understanding of what it means to be Lasallian.

St Illtyd’s Catholic High School marks its centenary this year and began doing so with a Mass at St Albans Catholic Church in Splott, Cardiff.

Our new Director of Formation, Pat Walsh, has begun to visit schools in the District with the aim of getting to all over the coming months.

The MEL Committee Ireland officially launched the Lasallian Competition for 2023/24 a last week’s Student Leadership Programme in Castletown.

It was a time of mixed emotions for all at Stella Maris Junior School as students and staff said goodbye to the retiring Ms Pauline Farewell, but they also enjoyed some wonderful activities including a blessing of pets ceremony and a visit from police horses.

All at St Benild School are continuing to experience the Lasallian values over the past few weeks as they had a welcome walk for Lasallian families, and learning about helping those in need during Mission Week, while also welcoming a special visitor.

The Lasallian month of Peace came to a close on Saturday October 21st after four weeks in which our schools and communities joined Lasallians across the globe in praying for peace.

Students at St Stephens National School in Waterford are witnessing the value of having fun while learning as the enjoyed activities during Maths Week and Brickz4kidz.

Students at St Peter’s Catholic School in Bournemouth continue to live the Lasallian values in their daily lives and recent activities have included strengthening links with the local community and helping their partner school in South Africa.

Students at St Illtyd’s Catholic High School were treated to a variety of experiences recently with activities including Construction Experience Days, Hay Festival, a visit to St David’s Sixth Form, the STEM Roadshow, and the No More Knives campaign.

St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy recently visited St Chad’s Cathedral in Birmingham, to attend the Archdiocesan Chaplaincy Commissioning Mass.

The De La Salle Retreat Centre at Ballyfermot is now well into the term. The weather has been kind to us, which means the students get to enjoy the expansive grounds at Ballyfermot and all the recreational activities that are there for them.

The 6th Year History students of De La Salle College Churchtown embarked on an unforgettable journey through history during their recent History Trip.

This year St. Benildus College were delighted to celebrate a fantastic collection of results from the Leaving Cert Class of 2023.

The Lasallian spirit has been evident in many aspects of life at Ard Scoil La Salle Raheny over the past number of weeks.

The District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta has invited young people to take part in a design a Christmas card activity. One or two designs will be selected from the entries and used as the official District Christmas card which is shared Internationally.

Retreats continue apace at De La Salle Retreat Centre, Castletown, and we have had a wide variety of groups in the past few weeks.
