The La Salle District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta is very well represented at the CIL (Lasallian International Formation Centre) 2024 Programme which is currently taking place in Rome.

The strength of the Lasallian ethos in De La Salle College Waterford was emphasised once again as they have an impressive total of 23 Lasallian Leaders.

With the Christmas tests completed, marked and returned, it was time in De La Salle High School Downpatrick to begin winding down after a very busy term.

One of the highlights of the year at De La Salle College Waterford is the school show, and this year’s event proved to be another memorable occasion for all involved.

Students at St Gerald’s De La Salle College continue to embody the Lasallian Core Principles of Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, along with Respect for All Persons, through their actions that make a tangible difference in our community.

It has been a busy few weeks at St. Colman’s B.N.S. as the school prepared for Christmas.

Students at Castlebar Primary School got into the Christmas spirit by delivering Christmas post to our schoolmates in our ASD classroom.

Before they team at La Salle Pastoral Centre Dublin headed off for a well-earned break, they wished all in the District a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

The abundance of creativity and Lasallian Spirit that exists in our District was evident in the response to the Christmas Card Design activity this year.

Director of Formation, Pat continued his visits to schools across the District this month in both Ireland and Great Britain.

As we head towards Christmas all at La Salle Pastoral Centre Castletown give thanks for the many groups that have come to us over the past few weeks, from Offaly, Tipperary, Laois and Limerick.

Students in St. Setons have been giving back to the community this Christmas. They have been busy making Christmas cards for care home residents around Dublin and have been helping with our food appeal for the Simon Community. 

Students and staff at St Illtyd’s have been very active over the past few months and, as always, the Lasallian values have been very much at the heart of those activities.

Throughout the month of November students at St Margaret Ward spent time remembering and praying for those who have died, whether they be relatives and friends of members of our community.

St Cassian’s was a wonderful place to be for the Advent season and the Christmas spirit was evident right around the community in recent weeks.

The many and varied activities that help create the wonderful Lasallian atmosphere in St Benildus College, Dublin, are captured in their most recent school newsletter.

Activities at De La Salle College Macroom in the past month have included a Christmas concert, mindfulness, drama sessions and a talk on online safety.

Students and staff at De La Salle College Senior School are ending the year on a high with a wide range of events that have made a huge contribution to school life and the local community.

Br. John Deeney’s recent visit to the blessing of the Brothers’ cemetery at Dogmersfield Park brought back memories of his time at the House of Formation.
