One of the highlights of a busy term at St Gerald’s De La Salle College saw Fifth-year students receive their John Paul II and Peer 4 Peer Awards at a ceremony in Breaffy Church attended by Archbishop Francis Duffy.

Beneavin De La Salle collage has had a busy few weeks in the school, from the De La Salle committee to sports, to organising a welcome to our prospective first year students of 2025.

In January students from Y10 and 11 and staff from St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy set off for our first school Retreat of the Academic year.

As part of Catholic Schools Week, St Benildus College Dublin have had a number of activities and events to remind us of our theme, Alive in Christ. 

A new biography of one of the most celebrated Brothers from these shores, James Kimpton, has been published to mark the centenary of his birth.

All artists in the District, young, old, experienced or not, are encouraged to ignite their creativity by getting involved in an initiative at the invitation of Br Enrico in Scampia.

Students at St Illtyd’s Catholic High School continue to avail of many wonderful opportunities as they learn important life skills such as first aid and mock interviews, along with taking on new challenges.

Since Christmas, Sixth Form Media students at St Joseph’s College Beulah Hill have been on two fascinating trips and have gained a ton of knowledge about producing and pitching media products.

At the end of January the team at Castletown Pastoral Centre relocated back to the Pastoral Centre and since then, we have welcomed TY and Confirmation groups from Carlow, Offaly, Limerick, Laois, Kildare and Tipperary.

During the first two weeks of February, so many gifts and treats were prepared and shared at St Benild School for our loved ones.

Recent weeks at the De La Salle Pastoral Centre Dublin have seen an upsurge in Confirmation retreats both in-house, on location in parish pastoral centres and in the schools themselves.

Monastery National School celebrated Catholic Schools Week from Monday January 20th to Friday January 24th 2025. The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2025 was Catholic Schools: Alive in Christ.

The school community at St Stephen’s BNS Waterford came together on Friday February 14th for a Cake Sale organised by the Parents Association.

It is with great fondness that we at Belfast Pastoral Centre remember Br Michael Loran on the month’s mind of his death, God rest him.

The enthusiasm and energy of the participants at the New Teacher Induction Gathering in Castletown provided another clear indication that the future of the Lasallian Mission in the District is in safe hands.

Animators from across the District gathered in Castletown to take part in the inaugural District Lasallian Animation Network (DLAN) event from January 29th to 31st.

On Sunday February 2nd, Day of the Consecrated Life in the Year of Jubilee, Brother Austin along with Brothers Mario, Saviour, Edward and Edwin joined with over 500 religious men and women in a procession and celebration of the Eucharist by his Grace Archbishop Charles Scicluna.

A creative student at De La Salle College Churchtown is celebrating being honoured at the prestigious Young Scientist  Technology Exhibition this month.

On Monday January 27th, St. Benild School celebrated the feast of its school patron saint: St. Benild Romançon. 

Young adults across the District are being given the opportunity to connect Lasallians across the Region through Fraternity in Action.
