District invited to participate in Lasallian Awards
The Lasallian Awards initiative for 2026 has been launched with all schools and centres invited to participate. You will find that the content largely remains the same this year, but they take on a slightly different appearance.
When embarking on the Lasallian Awards journey, we encourage young people to design their own activities as much as possible, and to share with us any new and exciting ways that are uncovered when thinking about the Five Core Principles of a Lasallian school. For students who have achieved Bronze, Silver or Gold in previous years, why not think about opting for the Platinum Award this year?
The purpose of the Lasallian Awards is to engage creatively with what being Lasallian means and we use the Five Core Principles of a Lasallian school as a framework for this. We would love to see how you live this on a daily basis, what Faith and Inclusion means to you and how you might show solidarity to those in need.
Thank you in advance to Animators and Educators for all of your work, be it promoting the Awards, encouraging young people, or devising resources to help students. Thank you to the young people themselves, for taking the time to think deeply about things that matter.
We invite you to send in your entries by May 8 th to jomillea@lasalleigbm.org to be included in the lottery draw held during the Founder’s day service and be in the running for a special prize. All entrants will receive a certificate and pin badge for the relevant Award.
This year we will again offer a cache of resources to be used during Founder’s Week from May 11-15th. Building on the Institute theme of “All is Connected” a google drive with daily resources will be shared by the 24th of April to assist with your planning. We look forward to our annual District-wide Zoom prayer service on Thursday, May 14th at 10 AM (GMT) / 11 AM (Malta) to celebrate our Founder, our Lasallian Family and the efforts of those who participate in the Lasallian Awards!
More information about the Zoom prayer service will be sent out closer to the event.
