Dundalk students begin work on Lasallian Leavening Fund project

Students and staff at De La Salle College Dundalk have begun an exciting project to paint school benches in vibrant colours thanks to the Lasallian Leavening Fund.

This project combines environmental stewardship, community building and spiritual, and by engaging students in planning, implementing, and maintaining the improvements, it fosters a deep sense of ownership and responsibility.

The project promotes sustainability through eco-friendly materials, aligns with Laudato Si’, and cultivates leadership and practical skills among students.

Beyond beautifying the campus, it creates a lasting legacy of collaboration, care for creation, and commitment to social justice—strengthening both the school community and students’ personal and spiritual development.

The five core Lasallian principles will be painted on the benches as soon as the paint dries.
