Focus is on growth and friendship at Castletown

Over the last month, La Salle Retreat Centre Castletown has welcomed 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and prefect groups from Carlow, Dublin, Limerick and Offaly, in addition to the student leaders from the Irish De La Salle Schools who came for training, organised by MEL Committee Ireland.

Our retreat themes have focussed on friendship, our values and recognising how we can grow together to create a world where everyone feels welcomed, loved and valued. We have been blessed by all the students who have graced us with their presence.

With Autumnal dark mornings and evenings, our days have been brightened in between by the students' enthusiasm and their respect for themselves, each other and the Castletown environment. As we headed towards the mid term break, the trees shedding their leaves remind us that sometimes we have to let go in order to make room for new growth. May the break renew us all and may we always make room for each other.
