Junior school honoured with Presidential visit

De La Salle Junior School Malta, had the distinct honour of welcoming her excellency, President Myriam Spiteri Debono, on December 2nd.

From the moment she arrived, she was greeted with warm smiles and enthusiastic applause by students from both the junior and secondary school. The head of our school, along with senior leadership team members, accompanied her as she made her way through the corridors. Along the way, students from Years 2 and 4, along with their teachers, joined in the warm reception.

The highlight of the visit was the gathering in the main La Salle Hall. As her excellency, President Myriam entered, the Maltese national anthem filled the hall, and students from Year 1, Year 3, Year 5, and Form 1 were present to extend their heartfelt welcome.

After the head of school delivered a warm speech, the students had the opportunity to engage with President Myriam, asking insightful questions about her work and the impact of the BOV Piggy Bank campaign, which supports those in need across Malta.

The visit concluded with a thoughtful gift presentation from our students, including a special card crafted by our Year 1 students. As she departed, the students played "One La Salle," making the visit truly memorable.

It was a day filled with inspiration and unity, and we are grateful for her excellency, President Myriam’s visit.
