Launch of Sensory Corridor & Climbing Wall at Monastery NS Ardee
Monastery NS Ardee is proud to announce the official launch of its innovative Sensory Corridor and Climbing Wall, designed to support pupils’ emotional and sensory needs while enhancing their learning experience.
This thoughtfully designed space offers children a calming yet stimulating environment where they can regulate their emotions, improve focus, and engage in sensory-based activities. Featuring interactive panels, tactile elements and the Sensory Corridor and Climbing Wall provides a safe and nurturing space for all pupils, particularly those with additional sensory needs.
Niall Lambert from Ardee Credit Union cut the ribbon and officially opened our new Sensory Corridor and Climbing Wall. He was ably assisted by Michael McCoy and Lisa O’Brien (Monastery NS Board of Management), Deirdre Commins and Lisa Coyle (MNS Parents’ Association), Jim McGee, Philip McAdam, Valerie Browne and Laura Quinn (MNS Staff) and Caroline St Leger (Supercalm Sensory Products).

This fabulous new school facility was sponsored by Ardee Credit Union, Monastery NS Parents’ Association and Monastery NS Board of Management. It was carefully planned by Caroline St Leger of Supercalm Sensory Products, School Principal, Jim McGee and SEN Coordinator, Valerie Browne.
We are thrilled to introduce the Sensory Corridor and Climbing Wall as part of our commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This space will provide children with essential tools to manage sensory input and emotions, ultimately helping them feel more comfortable and engaged in their education.
