Macroom students impress at Lasallian Competition

Students from De La Salle College Macroom took part in the Lasallian Competition and pictured above are class 1B receiving their certificates of achievement from the Mel Committee of Ireland.

A special mention to Filip, Brian & Maksymilian who were recognised for their work on the website they created which linked all the Lasallian schools in the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta.

Trip to Spain

Our 4th year students have had an incredible few days in Spain

They kicked things off on day 2 with a behind-the-scenes tour of the RCDE Stadium and got hands-on with science and discovery at CosmoCaixa Science Museum.

They wrapped up the trip with an action-packed day at Port Aventura theme park.

Former student visits

We had a delightful visit from our former student, Liam McSweeney, who achieved a perfect score of 625 points in his Leaving Certificate last year. His remarkable efforts earned him an entrance scholarship to UCD, where he is now pursuing Veterinary Medicine. True to his modest nature, Liam arrived with his award tucked under his arm, almost concealing it from passers-by. We wish Liam every success in his studies and future career as a veterinarian.

Congratulations

A massive congratulations to Tadhg O’Driscoll on winning a Scholarship to the Gaeltacht in Dingle this summer, sponsored by Cumann Lúthchleas Gael na Mumhan, maith thú a Thadhg, absolutely well deserved, Gaeilgeoir den scoth!

Driving school

Our TY students attended the Munster Driving School today. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to develop practical driving skills and gain valuable hands-on experience. Well done lads.
