Malta Lasallian Animators' Gathering 2026 Held in Mellieha

More than 40 Animators from Malta's two Lasallian Colleges gathered in Mellieha on Friday 3 July 2026 for the annual Lasallian Animators' Gathering. The event was organised primarily to thank staff who animate the two schools, and to give Animators the chance to connect and discuss initiatives for the year ahead.

The programme included a prayer on the theme of the Mustard Seed, a presentation on Association, and updates from Animators on current initiatives, including a Young Lasallian Volunteer placement in Egypt, formation abroad through the Kintbury Track 3 CPD programme, and new after-school intentional communities at DLS Primary, SMC Primary, and St Benild. The response was encouraging, with several Animators expressing interest in learning more about each initiative.

Mariella Vella said the energy and enthusiasm throughout the evening were infectious, with discussions centred largely on what Animators could do next. Looking ahead, she said she hopes Animators return to their schools feeling appreciated and excited to work more closely together in the coming months.
