Nurturing creativity at Castletown Pastoral Centre

The La Salle Pastoral Centre in Castletown is currently being used by Limerick Diocese to deliver their student peer leadership programme called Anois. This is a residential programme delivered by the Anois team, with students availing of the wonderful facilities that we have in Castletown.

As has become tradition now, the Pastoral Team has relocated to the Main House for the first few weeks of January to deliver our programmes.

Thankfully, unlike last year, we have had no disruptions caused by snow and we have been welcoming TY and Confirmation groups to us.

The Brothers and Main House staff have warmly welcomed us as usual and we have been able to facilitate our retreats just across the yard from where we normally work.

We are so blessed to have this flexibility and we are grateful to the Main House Community for allowing us into their home once again.

It has been a very fruitful start to 2026 and the creativity of students never fails to impress.

One such example is a reflection piece that one Confirmation group wrote using the letters of the words: Holy Spirit.

H for Have a wonderful Confirmation.

O for Open your heart to God.

L for Love everyone.

Y for You're great and loved by God.

S for Say your prayers.

P for Pray to God everyday.

I for Involve yourself in Mass.

R for Realise that God is always there.

I for Invite God into your heart.

T for The Sacrament of Confirmation will give you the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

May we all be open to the Spirit and may 2026 we a fruitful and gifted year for us all.
