School visits continue in Ireland
Auxiliary Visitor Br Tommy Walsh had the pleasure of continuing his visits to schools in Ireland this month as he called to both Lecale Trinity Grammar School and De La Salle College Belfast.
On Wednesday November 12th, accompanied by Eunan Whyte, Br Tomm received a warm welcome from Principal Dr Fionnuala Moore at Lecale Trinity Grammar School Downpatrick. They were joined by Mairead Magill for a discussion on many initiatives and opportunities in the District.
Copies of ‘Reflections on a Lasallian Journey’ were presented to the school which came in for great praise.
Three students James, Molly and Grace, provided a tour of the school, while they met the vice principals of the three sites.
The following day, Br Tommy and Eunan visited De La Salle College in Belfast where they were met by Principal Claire White and Deputy Principal Áine Best. The visitors reflected on the many ways the District can help nurture the Lasallian values, and presented copies of ‘Reflections on a Lasallian Journey’ to Claire and Áine who felt it would be a very valuable resource for the District.
Br Tommy and Eunan then met some of the other teachers who have taken part in recent District programmes.
