Sporting success boosts sense of community at Churchtown
De La Salle Churchtown made history this week by winning their first ever football silverware, defeating Rockbrook Park School 6-2 in the FAI Schools South Dublin League final. Played at St Francis FC, the match saw De La Salle dominate from the outset, showcasing skill, teamwork and determination in a performance that will live long in memory.
The victory marks a major milestone for the school’s sporting journey and has sparked huge pride among students, staff and parents. With silverware now secured and spirits high, this achievement sets a new standard for what’s possible in De La Salle football.

De La Salle’s senior football team are preparing for one of the biggest weeks in the school’s sporting history, with two Leinster finals on the horizon. First up is a Leinster Cup Final clash against Moyle Park, following an incredible run of wins over Blessington CC, St. Benildus, De La Salle Dundalk and St Kieran’s College.
Hot on its heels, the team will face Deansrath CC in the Leinster Champions League Final—adding to the excitement of what promises to be a landmark week for De La Salle football. With belief high and the squad in top form, all eyes are on the team as they aim to bring home even more silverware.
