St Benild updates Lasallian Leavening Fund project

The pictorial behaviour policy at St Benild School which revolves around practical actions which give flesh to the core principles as lived in our daily lives at school was revamped to feature both girls and boys.

The project, that was supported by The Lasallian Leavening Fund, aims to reinforce positive behaviour practices through posters that now reflect co-education.

Children came up with their own New Year resolutions such as to pray more, to share and help more, to eat more healthily. It was also fun to recognise the pupils photographed in the posters, who were subsequently called out.

It’s a great way to relate to our policy as pictures speak a million words! Until now, these were introduced through whole school assemblies. Copies of the revamped pictorial policy were distributed to the new entrants. Posters are being ordered so as to replace the boys-only pictures.

Educational Excursion promoting the 3 Rs

WasteServ Malta Ltd is the national agency that manages waste for Malta.  The agency is also very committed at promoting waste reduction, separation, and recycling. They developed  ECOHIVE KIDS so as  to teach kids the importance of waste management, and the impact it has on the environment.

All our first graders visited their educational hub where they met three characters General Buzz, Commander Yellow and the Garbage Monster and were encouraged to work with them towards a common goal, that of reducing, reusing and recycling waste.
