Over the years, Castletown organised a Cemetery Day especially for the family members of our departed Brothers. The event was postponed due to Covid but this year it will be held on Saturday July 9th.

Wellbeing Week 2022 in De La Salle College Churchtown took place from March 25th to April 1st this year, with the various events as follows:

On Tuesday April 12th a local group Suicide down to Zero came into Downpatrick High School to have a series of workshops with Year 11.

De La Salle College Churchtown have illustrated once again how the Core Principles are very much at the heart of all they do, with a number of recent initiatives highlighting the Lasallian values at work.

The La Salle Retreat Centre, Mellieha, continues to welcome many events, with recent visitors including Jesuit Fathers, Salesian Priests, the Diocesesan Children Commission and couples from Attard Parish.

Students at De La Salle College continue to live the Lasallian Values with recent activities including, preparation for the visit of Pope Francis, calls or blood donation, religious outing, creating Bee Hotels and supporting Down Syndrome.

We have been working hard here in De La Salle College, Waterford throughout the year on promoting inclusion, and in the approach to both Le Chéile Day, and indeed the Easter holidays, it was a great opportunity to showcase our school on unity in diversity.

Students at St Benild School in Malta have been enjoying a number of activities over the past few weeks including a visit to La Salle Retreat Centre in Mellieha, and remembering Our Lady of Sorrows.

Students and staff at St. Patrick’s Boys’ BNS, Castlebar, are preparing for an exciting new departure when they amalgamate with St Angela’s NS from September which will see the two longest- established schools in the town provide co-education for all pupils.

We are still very much in the 'Confirmation Season' in Castletown and have welcomed many groups who are preparing for this very significant sacrament. 

We know that summer is approaching here at Benildus Pastoral Centre when we find ourselves bringing students down to the Garden of Ireland and the Holy Monastic City of Glendalough.
