Launch of Lasallian Leavening Fund project in Belfast

De La Salle College Belfast has made a memorable start to the year by kicking off their Men’s Shed project in conjunction with The Lasallian Leavening Fund. This exciting project was unveiled with a fun 'Get to Know You' session, bringing together our Shed members and the boys for some friendly “Oldies vs Youngsters” challenges.

The energy was brilliant and it was amazing to see the laughter, teamwork and conversations flowing across generations. These connections are what it’s all about—learning from each other, sharing stories and building community.

Big thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable first day. We can’t wait for the weeks ahead.

Week two with the brilliant Colin Men’s Shed and our lads was a proper old‑fashioned baking session — and what a session it was!

The men and boys rolled up their sleeves and whipped up 15s – La Salle style
Plenty of laughs, plenty of sugar, and even more fantastic sharing of skills and stories. The conversations flowing around the table were every bit as good as the baking itself.

A special thank you to Mr Quinn, who didn’t just lead our boys today — he had to keep a very close eye on the older men in the shed as well.
He truly earned his money today

Another great session, full of learning, laughter, and connection.
