Remembering those who have passed at St Margaret Ward

The school community at St Margaret Ward has been marking the ‘Month of November’ as a school community because November is a month dedicated to praying for the Holy Souls.

Each child has taken part in a ‘Celebration of the Word’ to help commemorate this month by remembering and praying for their loved ones who have passed away through an initiative called ‘Light in the Darkness’.

Staff and students were invited to pray for their loved ones by writing down their names on paper hearts and lighting a candle in their memory. The hearts will be displayed in the school throughout the remainder of the month next to our candle of remembrance. It has been a truly prayerful and peaceful experience and a lovely way to mark this special month.
