St Peter’s student displays public speaking talent

Congratulations to St Peter’s Catholic School Year 11 student, Ibby, who recently won the Carnival of Alternative Politics – a public speaking competition for local 16 to 18 year olds.

Each speaker had just three minutes to take on a big, thought-provoking question: “The adult world I want to live in.”

Local MP Tom Hayes said:

“It was a joy to listen: bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and so much hope for how the adult world could do better. Honest, thoughtful and inspiring… Such a great reminder of how much talent and insight is in our town’s future.”

A fantastic achievement, Ibby — we are incredibly proud of you.
