Official launch to the new District website

As part of events to celebrate Founder’s Day, at De La Salle College, Churchtown, a Mass was held in the local Church of the Good Shepherd on Friday May 14th at 10am.

During Founder’s week, De La Salle School in St Helens marked the occasion by creating a space in the school grounds to be a space of beauty, of reflection and a way to celebrate nature and the world that we live in.

De La Salle High School, Downpatrick, recently had a guest speaker Paul McArdle (Off Your Head Podcast) into our school to chat and tell his story of his ongoing journey to recovery from a Drug Addiction.

It has been a busy year for Transition Year students at De La Salle College Dundalk with an interesting and varied range of activities, with Lasallian values very much at the heart of the programme.

Castletown Pastoral Centre have delivered 43 online sessions in recent weeks and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

The Lasallian Fest of Our Lady of the Star was celebrated on Saturday May 8th. The origins of devotion to Our Lady of the Star date back to 11th Century France and begins with the legend* of two Benedictine monks.

At St John’s College De La Salle, Ballyfermot, recently the Transition Year Young Social Innovators project was aimed at opening up lines of communication between young people in Ballyfermot and An Garda Siochana. 

The Lasallian Family across the District was saddened to hear about the passing of Brother Oliver Deane who died on Saturday May 1st.

It has been a busy time at De La Salle School, Basildon, with staff and students taking part in a variety of activities.
